A distinctly Ecuadorian dish of roasted guinea pig. Comes from the sound a guinea pig makes.... "cuy! cuy!".
Ecuadorians love to eat cuy.

Cuy = Guinea Pig
The only "difference" is that in Ecuador cuyes are not pets, they are bred, much like chickens, to be later broiled and served as a delicacy.
