The Mascot of Iowa State University. Iowa State, the little sister team of the IOWA Hawkeyes, was formerly named the Cardinals. Their name was changed later to the Cyclones as a record number of Tornadoes ripped through Ames Iowa destroying Acres and Acres of Farm land and trailer Parks, thus Demolishing their campus. Since those tornadoes were the most exciting thing to happen to the ISU faithful, they decided to rename the team the cyclones(What??).
