What is Dankel?

To throw someone under a bus. To screw someone over to cover your own ass like a spineless person.
Coined during the Economic Recession of 2009 when Interstate Hotels & Resorts properties had to take their stocks off of the market breaking lender agreement. Ihr then used Regional Director of Operations Scott Dankel to terminate many Crossroads Property Management, and Ihr managers and replace them with lower paid staff.
"Our entire apartment got Dankeled this morning, and they had our replacements hired by noon!"
"Dude I am so sick of (your girlfriends name here) I think I should Dankel her, and get with her hot sister."
