What is Danmaku?

A Japanese Words that translates into "Curtain of Fire." Usually used in reference to the Touhou Project Series of shumps in which the enemy's bullets form beautiful patterns, such as flower petals or stars.

Synonyms include "Curtain Fire," "Bullet Hell," And "Rain of bullets."

Nitori's Laser Danmaku was awesome, but her second wave always gets me.
