What is Dapeng?

An extremely huge Phoenix found in Chinese and Indian legends. Legends states that it serves as an arbiter whom kills any dragons that are considered evil.

The word is now an uncommon name used by the Chinese. An area of the Chinese city of Shenzhen is also named after Dapeng.
