What is De Grit?

An expression used to describe happenings, situations, objects, events and people that are disgusting, gross or otherwise socially unacceptable. Originating from the phrase "the grossest one", de grit evolved to become a concise way to express the sentiments that we all feel everyday. However, de grit can also be used to affectionately put down friends.

"Stripes and plaid? That outfit is so de grit."

"RFL hasn't showered in two days. She is de grit."
