Death Pull

What is Death Pull?

a cyclists take as hard a pull, at the front of his team's formation to lift the pace at the cost of exhausting themselves with no hope of being able to latch onto the back of the formation for drafting. This type of "pulling" reduces wind resistance for riders behind the death puller, causing the team to be more aerodynamic. Usually seen Team Time Trial stages of long bike races such as the Tour De France.
