What is Deloved?

1. A person who at one time was your beloved, and things didn't work out.
2. A person you divorced, but still want to refer to respectfully and "ex" doesn't really fit because of the impact the relationship had on your life.
I spoke with my deloved this afternoon and it sounds like things are going well for him in his new job.
