Demimockracy

What is Demimockracy?

1.

A form of government, closely related to the traditional representational democracy, in which the system represents the views of half or less than half the populace due to low voter turn-out. This may be due to any number of factors, including, but not limited to war, martial coercion, and apathy.

“Like, a little over half the eligible voters got off their butts long enough to vote? That is such bs. We’re such a demimockracy.”
