Transitive verb used to describe college students' deep aversion to thick, brick-sized textbooks that are expensive and a pain to lug around.

Meaning: to get rid of thick anthologies (such as the famed Norton Anthology) or brick-sized textbooks for a seminar; to remove big anthologies from the list of required textbooks for courses or exams.

Noun: denortonization

Antonym: nortonize. To use or recommend the use of thick anthologies for a course or exam.
