(noun, adjective):Descriptive term, often used endearingly, derived from the word derelict. A societal outcast thought to be operating on a different set of priorities than the bulk of the public. Often associated with surfers, it is commonly thought to have been derived in the San Geronimo valley area of Marin County California.
