When your so desperate for friends or romance, ect. that you make up people and their imaginary lives to convince other's they really do have a life.
Friend: "My boyfriend just got a myspace!"
Friend's Friend: "Oh really, I'll go look at it. Hey - wait, he's only got two friends: you and Tom. I think you have a case of desperititus!"
