Where a group of males - typically working in IT - have to prove they are top ape by means other than physical strength or ability to provide, and do so via verbal (email/IRC) jousting with their intellectual prowess. Normally only witnessed amongst groups of beta males.
I went to a meeting at Head Office last week and spent half a day listening to the guys dick fencing about design patterns.
