A genre of music that is a fusion of mainstream or pop and punkrock music. The bands often look and dress punk, but the music is created to appeal to the mainstream. Often created for maximum image and radio play.

Bands like Green Day started the Diet-Punk movement, which opened the door for Good Charlotte and the like.
