The act of walking on one's toes, as opposed to the entire foot including the heel. Often practiced when trying to sneak up on someone, or by furries} and furry fans.

Also, an animal, character or species whose normal stride does not involve resting on the heel, only the toes.

If a woman gets too used to wearing high heels, she may have to walk digigrade because of weakened muscles.

Canines, felines, and a large amount of other animals walk digigrade. This causes many people to mistakenly assume that their knees bend backwards.
