Digital Disease is a term created by The Institute for Responsible Online and Cell-Phone Communication for any current or future malicious, harmful, or socially negative action or trend utilizing digital technologies. Examples of Digital Diseases include, but are not limited to viruses, spyware, SPAM, cyber bullying, and sexting.

The Institute for Responsible Online and Cell-Phone Communication provides today's digital generation with a way to avoid or stay away from Digital Disease through their acclaimed "Sexting Is Stupid" program that communicates Digital Responsibility 2.1C (also known as their proactive "cure" for Digital Disease)
