What is Ding-day?

A fun day for cyclist on the 10th September. Fellow cyclists in London greet each other with a little ‘Ding Ding - Hello’ on their bicycle bell.

Alan is riding along Oxford Street on Ding-Day and sees another cycle, so he dings his bicycle bell, the young lady riding the other way returns by dinging back.
