What is Downeast?

The northern coastal region of Maine (Wasington and Hancock County). Called Downeast because in the days of sailing, the Prevailing Winds would blow the ships from Boston northeast, or Downeast. So if you in Downeast and you are going to Boston, you are going up to Boston.
