A phrase that can be used for just about anything; based on car racing video games that often use bananas as weapons. In those games, you drop a banana so another player can slip on it. In conversation, it can mean any of the following:
-to get into an argument
-to blow your fuse
-to lose your virginity (pop a cherry)
-to ruend a relationship
-to lose something important
-etc.
I dropped a banana with Pete last night.
Don't drop a banana about it!
