What is Dssh?

a sound effect referring to a powerful action.
mostly refering to the dsssh in written form, but can also be applied to verbal usage:
1. depending on the power of the dsssh, it is either all caps or all lower case. never mix and match unless it is so intense it takes at least two lines to complete.
2. the 'd' is the attack of the dsssh. there is almost always only one 'd' except in some cases when it would apply to a very robotic movement or a quick series of movements (in which the pitch of the 'd' would be a very syncopated, decending tone). ex: dd d d dd d dssssssssssssssh!
3. the 's' section of the dsssh is the length or sustain. it must be longer than the 'h' section. a common mistake is to make the sustain as long as the ending no matter the intensity of the dsssh. this cannot happen. (see number 4)
4. the 'h' is the ending. most often very similar to a low rumble followed by a reverberating hum. the length of the ending depends on the length of the sustain. it can never be longer. it usually is about half the length of the sustain, but depending on the power and intensity of the dsssh, they may come close to the same length (but that would require a dsssh at least 2-3 lines long).
can be used as a sound effect for a high five, punching someone/something, grabbing something quickly, etc.
