What is Dunceling?

A very foolish person. Usually used in a derogitory manner.
The history of dunceling relates back to the word dunce, which describes a rather stupid child who is signified by his dunce cap. Usually this child is pale and sickly looking, with some sort of speaking disorder and a physical disability, like a gimp leg. These children would sit in one of the corners of a school room and be the mockery of his peers. This punishment was usually very degrading to the duncling, but extremely humorous to the teacher and students.
The word duncling is basically a spin-off of dunce, and really is interchangeable with dunce.
The dunceling sat alone and dejected in the corner of the room, laughed at by his peers. He would soon hang himself with the following suicide note:
