n: a feeling after standing duty for 24 hours in the military when one has not consumed any alcohol but looks and feels like they did the next morning. Usually caused by standing the mid watch, midnight to 4 a.m.
Petty Officer Smith: Wow you look shitty! Did you go out drinking last night?
Petty Officer Jones: Nope, I got a duty hangover.
