What is Earthquake Weather?

A period of unease preceeding a large earthquake. This is not a scientific term, although heat and humidity have been said to preceed major earthquakes.
The term can also be applied to tension between friends, possibly preceeding a fight.
"What's with this heat, man?"
"Earthquake weather."
