What is Edacshen?

when a man and a woman decide to go for a half date, or what we americans tend to call, go out for "coffee", as they enter the shop, they find that the coffee is bad, thus, making the date bad.
After waiting 3 years to ask out my neighbor, i made the poor choice of taking her to IHOP, thus, resulting is an edacshen.
