One who enjoys and promotes the edification (enlightenment) of others.
In no way related (except that it sounds like it) to pediphile.
An ediphile came into my office and enlightened me as to the USB HID -> PS/2 character conversion.
It's fun to scream across the office that someone is an ediphile, because he just showed you how something works.
