A Victorian ladies name which regained popularity in Glasgow high society around the 1940's. An 'Edmere' is likely to enjoy crosswords, brandy, closet homosexuals and furless cats- their fur obviously being used for her underwear. Up until the turn of the century, it was believed that only one 'Edmere' existed, however just last year Queen Elizabeth II gave birth to one.
