Deriving from Yorkshire, means well done or good lad.

It can also be used where a comical situation has occurred.

Variations include, Aladdy, Elassy (for a female), Laddy, Lad or Elad.

Person A: "I've just won the lottery"

Person B: "Eladdy, can you lend me a tenner?"

OR

Person A trips over

Person B: "Eladdy!"
