a nickname lovingly given to new jersey, pennsylvania, and maryland/DC after we realized how extremely difficult it was to find a single band whose music didn't have "emo" leanings. new york has started to be included, but it'll always just be "emo trio."
whatever kind of emo you're into, you'll find it in the emo trio. no, seriously.
