Emwtk

What is Emwtk?

1.

Acronym representing "Enquiring Minds Want To Know", the advertising slogan of the "National Enquirer" tabloid newspaper. The expression means that people are curious to know more about the subject at hand. The desired knowledge usually borders on unhealthy prying into other people's business.

For the National Enquirer, this meant that their readers were curious for details about the sex life of Princess Di, or the number of plastic surgeries of Michael Jackson, or the drunken exploits of Britney Spears, etc.

Sometimes spelled IMWTK ("Inquiring Minds Want To Know").

"What did you do on your date last night? Details, please, EMWTK!"

"What's the terrible scandal that made Sarah Palin quit as governor of Alaska? EMWTK!"
