A phrase used by male to female ( MTF) transgenderedindividuals, usually crossdressers. It is a French phrase literally meaning "as a woman." It is used to describe the individual when they are presenting as a woman.

My friend Bill is a crossdresser. When we went out last night, he went en femme.
