What is Escazu?

A town in the west side of San Jose, Costa Rica home to a lot of clueless right wing new rich preppy families, a shitload of retired republicans from the U.S. and/or new rich dudes with trophy wives that married them just for the money. Also note that a short percentage of cool normal people also live there.
-You know, yesterday I went to a preppy bar full of the most superficial fake people!
-Yeah, that's why I go to San Pedro instead of Escazu.
