The act of venting the spleen; ranting, voicing the opinion forcefully and with venom normally in response to frustration.
Splen- being derived from spleen and splenic - having something to do with or being related to the spleen.
Ranter: "Look at that smug guy, god you just want to hate him, his life and his mother; where does he get off being do smug?"
Reply: "You can't resist a good old rant can you?" or "You can't resist a good exsplenate, can you?"
