What is Extraprise?

The Extraprise includes the enterprise functions inside the four walls of a given firm, including financial, human resources, production, and logistics, as well as the ecosystem value chain functions outside the enterpise, to include partners, customers, and vendors, and the processes that touch the enterprise functions.
The planning, forecasting, shipping, delivery, and settlement processes of a given firms outsourced manufacturer is part of that given firms extraprise. A company like CISCO may outsource manufacturing to an EMS provider like Solectron. EMS's planning and fulfillment processes are part of CISCO's extraprise and CISCO's procurement processes are part of Solectron's Extraprise.
