1. When standing close to a heat source, e.g. a bar heater, the fabric on your clothes gets really hot but, due to the air gap between your body and your clothes, you don't feel the full impact of how hot things are getting until the fabric touches your skin.
2. When standing close to a heat source, e.g. a bar heater, the fabric on your clothes gets really hot and starts to get that smell about it like ironed clothes.
