What is Facebook Crawling?

Going from page to page in facebook often starting in the news feed and then clicking on links to travel to new people, new events, new albums, etc. It is different than stalking in that you are not trying to gather information about a specific person. It is more of aimless wandering through pages to see whats new and interesting.
Mike was bored of doing homework and was facebook crawling to see what was new. He started by seeing a group invitation for PennFoodTrucks, found a friend in the group, moved on to that friend's album pictures then saw a new party event and eventually after a few hours of wandering ended up at a long lost highschool friend's page.
