Facepalmtastic Edit Meaning

1. When the best, or only, appropriate response to a situation is a facepalm from a third party, because words just cannot describe the full extent of thoughtlessness or idiocy as is evident.

2. When you see firsthand, or hear about, somebody doing something so stupid that you cannot imagine said person NOT facepalming themselves, so you facepalm out of pure sympathy.

This textbook is facepalmtastic because the publisher let the author get away with saying this:

"Cultural Studies insists that culture must be studied..."
