What is False Friction?

Alliterative phrase used when someone is paranoid that there is "friction" (tension) between them and someone else. The "friction" is usually exaggerated and "false", e.g. non existent.

A: "hm, why hasn't Julie 'phoned me"

B: "she is busy, stop creating false friction"

A: "I think there is some false friction between me and Lucy"
