The conscious or unconscious discrimination against a person due to there perceived lack of fame or disproportionate favouritism toward people with perceived credentials of fame.

When Z-list celebritiys appear on the fromt page of newspapers, solely due to the fact they are well know, even due to the fact they have no redeeming features.
