What is Far Side Funny?

Used to define any joke that loses its funniness when it has to be explained to someone. Created because so many Far Side cartoons are only funny if you get them immediately.
Person 1: Hahahaha
Person 2: What's so funny?
Person 1: This comic!
Person 2: ...I don't get it.
Person 1: Well, you see, the guy here...he has this alligator...and it...Don't you get it?
Person 2: (silence)
