A wrap or shawl consisting of fake feathers glued to a long string. Often comes in bright and flamboyant colors such as bright orange or neon green. Worn mainly by cross-dressers and drag queens. Sometimes seen on drunk people in bars or at parties where such items are distributed as promotional giveaways.
Woman: Hey look! Those Jaegermeister girls are giving away t-shirts, leis, and orange feather boas!
Man: I want a feather boa!
Woman: No way dude, that feather boa is mine - it matches my outfit better than yours!
