When in an argument, the person who is actually being defensive tells the other person to quit being so defensive because they do not want to be called out for defending themselves first.

Wife: I told you to take out the trash.

Husband: I wasn't home, you could've done that.

Wife: Stop being so god damn defensive all the time.

Husband: You're just saying that, you fenser.

Wife: You're a bitch, you got me.
