An amalgamation of two zeitgeist acronyms.
1) Loosely defined as experiencing something awful (FML) in order to achieve great success (FTW).
2) A transcendently negative experience.
1) I was enslaved in a diamond mine for my entire childhood. My health was terrible and I lived in deplorable, subhuman conditions. My luck changed when I escaped to Antwerp with a 45 carat rock. FMLFTW!
