A statement of acknowledgement, occurring with or without thoughtful head-nodding, that follows the question "Does this patient have blood mixed in with his stool?" Often overheard at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto.
Doctor: "All right, everyone. Now that we have ruled out epistaxis and melena, would it be fair to say that the blood mixed in with the stool is in fact hematochezia?"
