2. The act of pretending you have the VT spirit but
disregarding it in time of need.
Coined by Ben Wurst, the word ‘Fokie’ came to be during April 16th, 2007 during the shootings at VT, labeled as “The worst in U.S. History.” This tragic event allowed people to find out the true Hokies from the pretenders.
1. Someone: Are you going to go to another college because
of this incident?
Hokie: Me? Hell no. I ain't no Fokie!
2. Student: The class of 2011 will be the most spirited
class in VT. No Fokies!
