What is Foolscreen?
1.
A nickname for movies that were shot in widescreen, but were reformatted for 4x3 TVs, while losing up to half of the movie in doing so. It's called this because people knowingly or unknowingly prefer this to the widescreen version.
Joe likes foolscreen over the widescreen version and refuses to change.
