What is Foot Bag?

1. Generally a ball approximately 2 inches - 3 inches in diamer, for kicking and passing games using only the feet. It may be composed of tied wads of sturdy material, stuffed hide or fabric, or even clay. Also called a hacky sack.
2. A bag made of hide, fabric or woven materials, to keep the feet warm, especially for small children or the elderly who are relatively stationary. It may be for one foot or two, frequently tied in place.
3. A closed bag of mixed salts, herbs or aromatic material, designed to provide comfort or therapy to the feet.
The Indian children were playing a complex game with a foot bag made of scraps of deer hide, tied with thin leather strips.
