What is Fore?

A warning to fellow golfers that a ball is headed in thier direction and that they should duck. Also yelled before someone starts shooting up a building where there are people not considered to be targets.
"Fore!" said the golfer before the ball hit the guy putting on the green at the seventh got hit.
"Fore!" Cried the cops as the light up a house with hostages inside.
