Freeism

What is Freeism?

1.

A small, but growing intellectual collective promoting rational and humanist values. The focus of which is aimed at achievement, 'human capability' and advancement through the arts, sciences and any recognised area of study or expertise. The collective is apolitical and non radical by nature; the emphasis based on free thought.

Though the establishment of the movement remains vague, it's recent media attention has peaked interest on an international and national scale. Though some claim that it is yet another intellectual cult 'spin off', it is widely regarded as legitimate. There have been meetings of freeist members documented, known as a "summons", at various locations across the country publically and privately.

Freeism represents intellectuals of free thought.

3.

freeism is a principle of being on the side of overall freedom. So personal gains at the overall expense, and sadism are explictly not freeism.

A freeist is such a person.

freeism however can allow for someone to have varying degrees of effort in upholding overall freedom, because to demand from all freeists, that they must go to the furthest extremes of upholding freedom, would become unworkable.

A "natural freeist" is someone who is naturally on the side of overall freedom, without needing any teaching, it is just how he feels, his natural way of being since before he even had an idea of what freeism is.

freeism is basically all about freedom. freeism has no explicit rules or laws, except that overall freedom is what is most important, especially the freedom of other freeists.

Because freeism values the freedom of other freeists above that of non-freeists, this causes a self-referencing definition, which is generally a bad definition.

Therefor, a non-self referencing definition of freedom is needed. freeism can best be tested if he is a real freeist or not, by seeing if he harms the innocent or not. Even non-freeists can be innocent, at least in given situations even if not innocent all the time. A real freeist would not harm the innocent.

Someone tells you their troubles. You get the feeling that he wouldn't burden you with them or make you suffer for them, and that he was innocent in these troubles.

Someone who acted in accordance with freeism, would take the time to listen, at least if there weren't more pressing concerns.

A selfish person wouldn't care to listen, "Whats in it for me" he thinks.

A sadistic person would lie that the troubles were all his fault in the first place, and try to rub salt in his wounds.
