What is Friend-rock?

music played by your friends that you don't necissarily like, but that becomes inexplicxable tolerable when someone you know plays it, and that you listen to anyway, becuase you're supporting them
I first saw heard this word from Sufjan Stevens in a Rolling Stone Q&A
