What is Future-sarcastic?

More movement than catch phrase, future-sarcastic was coined by Corey Doctorow, it's an aesthetic style that says, and I quote: "Well, it's the twenty-first century, where the fuck is my jetpack?" It's the future that the 70s though we'd be living in now; shiny jumpsuits and moon-cafes.

'What's that in your hair? Is that your Shuffle?!'

'Yea, and check out my wireless headphones'
